Controlled by Corporación América S/A, Inframerica is the current manager of Brasília and Natal Airports. One of the largest airport operators in the world, the Argentinian holding has extensive experience in the industry with dozens of awards in Latin America and Europe, as well as operate in highly competitive markets such as the sectors of agribusiness, energy, infrastructure and technology, among others.
With all the know-how with Airports, the Corporation joined the Consórcio Inframerica in order to dispute the concessions of Brazilian air terminals.
In August 2011, winning the 1st concession auction of the country, Inframerica became responsible for the construction, maintenance and operation of the São Gonçalo do Amarante International Airport, in the metropolitan region of Natal, for a period of 28 years, making it the 1st 100% private Brazilian Airport.
Almost six months later, in a new auction in early 2012, the Consórcio also scooped the Brasília International Airport - Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek, where it holds a 51% stake in the concession to operate, renovate and expand the airport site of Brasília for 25 years .
Unlike Natal Terminal, in Brasília, Infraero is a partner of Inframérica and holds a 49% stake in the concession.
In the first four years (2012-2015), Inframérica has invested more than R$2 billion in the two airports, increasing capacity, comfort and efficiency of these important Brazilian air terminals.
